VERA

VERA is a small-scale process plant that is used for the experimental evaluation of new methods in automation and control under industry-related conditions. The plant consists of three reactors, four cylindrical hoppers and a heat exchanger. More than 80 sensors that measure signals like level, temperature, pressure and conductivity and over 100 actuators, such as valves, pumps and stirrers, can be used to develop numerous processes.

This plant is integrated in the research activities of the institute and is used to test newly developed control methods. Moreover, VERA is also destined for education as part of lab courses as well as bachelor and master theses.
